| MORE EMAILS
Books for Boots is expanding. We want to give more books to more wounded veterans in hospitals and we want to earn more money to help the poorer families make bedside visits. To do this, we must make Books for Boots known to more people. We want to use email for that purpose. Here is what you are invited to do to help us. Please send an email message to all your family, friends and acquaintances, personal and business. Ask each of them to send a message to all of their family, friends and acquaintances. Only a tiny percentage will do it, but in the long run this will be hugely successful. We've seen it happen. Before we show you the message we would like you to send, please let me offer you a suggestion about how to send it in the best way. When you enter all the names of the people that you are sending it to, please do not enter those names in your email's "Cc" window. If you do, there's a good chance your emails will not be properly received. Instead, put your list of names in your "Bcc" window. To do this, click on "New" the way you always do when you are about to send an email. Then click on the "Cc" label (or icon). When you've done that, you will see that the "Bcc" option has opened up for you. Now go ahead and drop all your names in your "Bcc" window. Also, by using the "Bcc" option, you protect each individual's privacy--nobody will be able to see all the names you've sent your email to; they'll only see their own name in the "Bcc" window. Important: Put your own email address in the "To" window so that you are sending it to yourself. This way you will know your email has gone out properly. Now here is the message you are asked to send: In the "Subject" line, put your name followed by the words "asks you to spread some news." For John Doe, the "Subject" line would then read: "John Doe asks you to help spread some good news." And here is the text you are asked to put into that email: Recently I heard about a program that helps badly wounded American war heroes in VA hospitals nationwide. This program gives new books to the patients. This program also gives money the hospitals can use to help poorer families make bedside visits. The lead book, or main book, in this program is an award-winning novel titled The Vengeance Trap. For every hardcover copy of that book that is sold, a large (6 x 9) paperback copy goes (as a gift, at no cost) to a veteran in a VA hospital somewhere in the United States. Recently more than a thousand copies of The Vengeance Trap got shipped to many VA hospitals. "Thank You" letters are starting to come in from the hospitals and soon will be posted on this site. FedEx--a most caring and generous company--donated the shipping. Getting more copies of this book to more veterans in VA hospitals means more hardcover copies must be sold. You can help in two ways: 1. Go to www.ReadOurBook.com and download (at not cost to you) Chapter One of this award-winning family saga--a romance/adventure novel. Read it. If you like it, buy the 417-page book. In hardcover, online you will pay only $18 for this book, which is a 25% discounted price. When you buy your copy of the book, the authors will send nother gift copy to a hospitalized veteran. And 10% of what you pay for your book will go into that travel fund for bedside visits. And, by the way, a book makes an excellent gift for Christmas, a birthday, or whatever. Also, it's a nice way to say "thank you" to a valued customer or employee. 2. Send this entire email to all your family, friends and acquaintances. In doing that, you will be asking each of your family, friends and acquaintances to send an email to each of their family, friends and acquaintances--and each of them is asked to do the same, etc., etc., etc. Pretty soon, a huge number of persons will know about the book. The veterans you will be helping thank you; I thank you; the co-authors of the book (Axel & Linda Hansen) thank you; and Books for Boots thanks you.
